New Jimmy Webb Album - Out Now

Yours For The Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb

Legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb (“Wichita Lineman,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix”) has made the album he has always wanted to with Yours For The Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb. For his 80th birthday, Jimmy revisited songs stashed in the piano bench and never recorded, due to circumstance or chance. Eleven new tracks backed by lush orchestrations and two original demos are anchored by the poignant “Winter Clothes.” Plus Michael McDonald, Graham Nash, Marc Cohn, and more join Jimmy Webb.

PBS Special on Chris Isaak – Beyond The Sun

A while back we mentioned a great new record being released by Chris Isaak. The album is a personal tribute to the glory days of Sun Studios in Memphis and the legendary producer behind the console in Sun Studio, Sam Phillips.

“Isaak recaptures the spirit of original songs with his own brilliant band of stellar musicians, while revealing the heart and soul of his own deeply rooted musical identity.” – ChrisIsaak.com

Throughout June, PBS will be airing a live performance of Chris Isaak which was taped in February in front of a live audience at the Austin City Limits music festival. To catch this stellar performance, check your local listings. You’ll definitely want to see this!
