Iconic Rock and Roll Label Sun Records Celebrates 70th Anniversary with Collector’s Shirt and Limited Edition Vinyl Collector’s Box Bundle, out April 22nd

It’s called “Where Rock and Roll was Born” for good reason. The Tennessee-based legendary independent record label, Sun, founded in Memphis by producer Sam Phillips in February 1952, was the first label to record Elvis Presley, Charlie Rich, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. Seventy years later, the world is still reeling from this rock and roll revolution. To honor its hallowed history, Sun will be issuing a special edition bundle that includes an anniversary version of its classic shirt, and a handsome wooden Sun’s 70th collector’s box to house the label’s beloved vinyl 2022 reissue series. The collector’s box will be available Friday, April 22nd in the Sun Record Company Official Store.
