New Jimmy Webb Album - Out Now

Yours For The Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb

Legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb (“Wichita Lineman,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix”) has made the album he has always wanted to with Yours For The Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb. For his 80th birthday, Jimmy revisited songs stashed in the piano bench and never recorded, due to circumstance or chance. Eleven new tracks backed by lush orchestrations and two original demos are anchored by the poignant “Winter Clothes.” Plus Michael McDonald, Graham Nash, Marc Cohn, and more join Jimmy Webb.

Honoring Cowboy Jack Clement

Jack Clement is probably one of the most under-rated artists on the Sun Records roster. Not many people know it, but Jack got his start at Sun running the mixing board for recording sessions with Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Charlie Rich and Jerry Lee Lewis. Another Sun Records artist, Elvis Presley, even opened up for Clement at the Memphis club The Eagle’s Nest. He’s the writer for two of Cash’s most famous songs, “Ballad of a Teenage Queen” and “Guess Things Happen That Way”.

This Wednesday, January 30, Cowboy Jack will be honored by some of the artists he has influenced during his long career. Artists include Emmylou Harris, T Bone Burnett, Kris Kristofferson, Dan Auerbach, Jakob Dylan, and many more. Get tickets and more information here.
