Movie Magg’ and ‘Turn Around’ were released on Flip Records, a subsidiary of Sun Records. They were recorded at Sun Studios but Sam Phillips did not want to release it on Sun Records because he did not want two Sun artists targeting the same audience (Perkins and Presley). Perkins wrote ‘Movie Magg’ at the age of thirteen and was inspired from going to the movies on the weekends with his girlfriend, Maggie. Perkins didn’t have a car to drive so they rode on the back of his mule named, Becky.
